- Eye shadow brush or applicator
- Liquid eye liner

- Three shades of eye shadow (dark, medium, highlight)
Tips On How To Apply Eye Shadow For Big Eyes
1. The firs thing you need to do to achieve big eyes is to apply the darkest shade of eye shadow makeup on the outer corner of your
eyelid, staying below the crease about one-third of the way across to form a
small triangle.
You have to do the same step, starting at the inner corner of
your eye. After the process, you should have a bare strip down the center of
your eyelid between the two triangles. Repeat this step on the opposite eye.
2. The second thing to do is to apply the medium shade of eye
shadow makeup in the bare stripe, from just above the crease all the way down
to the lash line. The medium shade should be at least two shades lighter than
the dark shade. Repeat this steps on the opposite eye.
3. The third step to do is to apply the highlighting eye
shadow makeup along the brow bone, beginning just behind the “head” or the
thick part of your eyebrow. Again, repeat this step on the opposite eye.
4. The next thing you need to do is to blend the edge of the
highlighting eye shadow makeup using your ring finger, so that there is no
marked line on your eye makeup. After that, you can now gently blend the edges
of the dark eye shadow and the medium eye shadow where they meet.
You can do so by using your ring finger. You need to be
careful not to remove too much eye shadow, the idea is simply to erase any
lines between the colors. Repeat this step on the opposite eye.
5. You need to pull the skin on your eyelid just above the
center of your eyebrow using your ring finger. Then, carefully apply a thin line
of liquid eye liner as close to your lash line as possible. Again, repeat this
step on the opposite eye.
6. The next procedure you need to do is to place the eye lash
curlers against your eye, with the lashes between the clamps. Then gently close
the eye lash curler, being careful that no skin gets pinched in the clamps.
After the eye lash curler is closed, you need to apply more
pressure and hold for five seconds. Release and repeat this step on the
opposite eye. Curling your eye lashes gives emphasis to your big eyes.
7. And lastly, twirl, do not pump, the mascara wand inside the tube to fill your eye lashes with mascara. You need to hold the mascara
wand to your eye and gently close your eye lashes over the wand, raking them
through the mascara wand’s brush several times to apply the mascara.
Then gently run the mascara brush across your lower lashes.
Add a second coat of mascara if you want a more dramatic impact.
Additional tips and warning while applying eye shadow for big eyes
You can heat your eye lash curler using a blow dryer for a
minute or two to get a great curl that will last all day.
You can apply your eye shadow by using any applicator or
brush, but a good eye makeup brush will make a huge difference in the result.
You need to consider purchasing
the best eye shadow brush you can afford. A good brush will last for
years with proper care and regular cleaning.
You need to keep the eye liner in a thin line. A thin line of
eye liner will reduce the eye-opening effect of your big eyes.
It is very important not to curl your eye lashes after
applying mascara. This will clump the mascara and possibly damage your eye
lashes.
